Puff pastry biscuits are typical Italian pastry very easy and quick to make. Even if you can do the puff pastry yourself, I use a ready-made one, so this recipe takes only three ingredients and few minutes to make them. The result is very good, the biscuits will be very crunchy and one leads to another! This type of biscuits is perfect for a snack with tea or for a sweet after dinner.
This recipe is eggless.
INGREDIENTS (for 18 biscuits)
- 1 pack of puff pastry (230g)
- 50g sugar
- water q.s.
HOW TO PREPARE PUFF PASTRY BISCUITS
Roll out the puff pastry and with the help of a brush wet the surface with water. Sprinkle the sugar evenly, leaving two spoons aside.
Roll the puff pastry from the two opposite ends and continue until the two rolls meet.
Wet the top of the rolls again and sprinkle them with the remaining sugar.
Let rest for about half an hour the dough in the fridge covered with plastic wrap, in order to cut the roll properly. Remove the roll from the fridge and divide it into slices of about 1 cm and place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Bake in the oven at 392°F (200°C) for about 15 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
Enjoy your puff pastry biscuits!
